Business Development Representative (Outbound Lead Gen)

Location: Remote (South Africa strongly preferred)

Compensation: $1,300–$1,600/month target OTE (flexible for top performers) + incentives TBD

Schedule: Full-time : EST 8AM- 4PM/ 9AM – 5PM Monday to Friday (40hrs/week)

Role Overview:
We’re seeking a driven and resourceful Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate cold calls, lead generations and  outbound leads and set high-quality appointments for our fast-growing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, this role is focused on filling the top of the sales funnel by engaging pre-identified target companies and securing meetings with decision-makers.

This is a remote position with a preference for candidates based in South Africa, where experience and communication style align well with our sales culture. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives on booking meetings and driving measurable output.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email and phone to set qualified appointments
  • Work from a curated target list (~1,000 companies) and identify relevant decision-makers
  • Update and maintain account and lead records in Salesforce.com
  • Use tools like Apollo (or similar platforms) to source accurate contact data
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales to refine messaging and outreach strategy
  • Track outreach metrics and consistently meet or exceed performance goals

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in a BDR/SDR or outbound sales role
  • Demonstrated success in booking meetings and generating pipeline via outbound channels
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and direct engagement
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication
  • Familiar with sales tools like Apollo, Salesforce, or ZoomInfo
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Preferred:

  • Experience in a B2B tech or SaaS sales environment
  • Familiarity with U.S. business culture and sales cycles
